Man arrested after allegedly causing damage to US military plane at Shannon Airport

A MAN has been arrested after allegedly causing damage to a US military plane at Shannon Airport. The incident occurred at the Co. Clare airport on Saturday morning, with operations temporarily halted for around 25 minutes while authorities dealt with the matter. More than 50 firefighters tackling blaze at Co. Down farm shop

MORE than 50 firefighters are tackling a blaze at a property in Co. Down. The fire, which was reported to the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) at around 7.15pm on Saturday, is understood to be at the Corrie's Meats farm and farm shop in Newtownards. Just before the publication of the Saville Report, the inquiry into Derry’s 1972 Bloody Sunday, British Prime Minister David Cameron makes a speech at Westminster Abbey in which he says that the event was “unjustified and unjustifiable.” Cameron also apologizes on behalf of the British government. On this same day, thousands of people gather at the memorial and march to Guildhall, where Cameron’s speech is televised.
