The Irish Repertory Theatre presents Transatlantic Living on the Franics J. Greenburger Center Stage

Tuesday January 15, 2022 at 7:00pm

Written & Performed by Clare O’Malley

Directed by Nicola Murphy

Clare O’Malley, hailing from Dublin, takes to the Irish Rep Mainstage with her one-act cabaret: a bitingly funny and heartfelt musical journey through her immigration odyssey from Alien to United States Citizen and beyond into navigating a transatlantic life. Clare invites us to join her as she endeavors to balance cultural expectations; figuring out how to be Irish in America while remaining Irish in Ireland. A whimsical music-filled evening from traditional Irish song, to Broadway classics, such as Finian’s Rainbow. (Whiskey not included!)

Clare O’Malley has performed in plays and musicals on both sides of the Atlantic. Irish Rep audiences will remember Clare’s performances as Nora in The O’Casey Cycle’s The Plough and the Stars, and as Sinead in The New York Times Critics’ Pick, Pumpgirl, where she was singled out with “one of the most astonishing performances” that year. She also originated the role of Lily in Irish Rep’s unique immersive experience of The Dead, 1904.
